In 1999, nineteen artists from the Eastern England region were selected for an open exhibition at Kettle’s Yard gallery in Cambridge. Artists were selected by Stephen Chambers, Phyllida Barlow and the director Michael Harrison.
These paintings were included in the exhibition. The first is a newer version of “Flock”, which was bought by Kettle’s Yard for the Cambridge University collection. They were mostly inspired by train travel on the West Coast route – see also the Travel gallery.
